Ride a canoe up the Chagres River, walk to a jungle waterfall, and visit a traditional Embera village.

The Embera natives are among the seven Amerindian ethnic groups still present in Panama.

Originally from the Darien province, several families of Embera natives settled near the Chagres River many years ago and developed an ecotourism project allowing them to maintain their way of life and their customs in the face of development of the modern world.

What you will see:

Ride up the river in a wooden canoe through the Chagres National Park and  learn about traditional food, culture, and dances of the Emberas people.

The sights and sounds of the rainforest will take you back centuries in time. Swim in the waterfall.
