El Valle de Anton - Hiking and Swimming

El Valle de Anton - Hiking and Swimming

8 hours and 30 minutes

Easy

Departure time: 8:30 a.m.

If there is a detour to make, it is in El Valle de Anton.

2 hours from the city, El Valle is located in the heart of the crater of a dormant volcano.

The tour begins with a hike in the rainforest, along a marked path and suspension bridges, which will lead you to a natural swimming pool for a nice refreshing swim.

For the meal, I will take you to a typical Panamanian restaurant.

After the meal, you will have free time to either visit the public market or just walk around the city center.

In the afternoon, we will head towards the path of the square trees.

The valley is unique because of the strange square trees that grew on the volcanic soil.  The rectangular shape of the trees is directly related to the conditions in the valley - when planted in another location, the trees have normal circular trunks.
